Urban Decay "De Slick" Review

The Urban Decay setting sprays came out a while ago, but I thought I’d go ahead and put out my two cents on them! 🙂
Urban Decay came out with three versions of their setting spray; one for oily skin, one for dry skin, and one for long lasting makeup. They retail for $29.00, and you get 118ml (4.0 US fl oz.) You can also buy a smaller size for $12. I bought the one for oily skin- “De Slick-” which is oil free and claims to leave your skin “matte all day for 16 shine-free hours.”
Girlfriend, thats just not gonna happen.
Now, before I tell you what I think, you need to know about my skin type! I do have really oily, acne-prone skin. Occasionally, I deal with dry patches, but I always have oily skin.
Anyway- I use this after I put on my powder in the morning, so right around the beginning of my makeup routine, to take away the look of the powder on my skin. The thing about this product is that I think it adds moisture to my skin at first.  It makes my skin look “glowy” for a few hours, and then, finally, an hour or two later, my skin looks really nice.  I was really dissapointed at first, because obviously it didn’t perform as quickly as I wanted it to, but once it starts to sink in, it really does a great job. As a setting spray in general, I think this is great; it noticibly prolongs my foundation and my blush.
If you’re in the market for a setting spray, I think this one is great. I’d probably try out the “All Nighter” version next, in hopes that my makeup could stay just an hour or so longer.. 🙂

I hope this was helpful if anyone’s in the market for either this or something similar. In the end, I would reccomend this, and despite how slow it is, I do think it’s worth the money. Let me know what you think if you’ve tried any of these out- I’d love to know your opinions.

Some extra pictures for size reference, and cute packaging, of course 🙂

Happy Weekend!!
xoxo,
