Recently I’ve been thinking a lot about how much my blog means to me and what I want it to be. I’ve wanted to start publishing my blog on social media, and I really want to show my friends all that I feel I’ve accomplished so far on this blog. With all of that on my mind, I’ve wondered if this blog really showcases what I want to show the world, and right now, I don’t think it does. I’ve decided that I want to make some changes, mix things up, and start over.
I considered making a new blog, but I love how “lived-in” this one feels. I have loved seeing the views go up, and I love that I can look back on all of the posts I’ve spent time on. I love the little “brand” I’ve created that represents me, but it makes me sad that it only represents the makeup-loving side of me. I want to use my blog to know and be known: to share my heart, my ideas, my favorite things, and my life as a whole. I want to build relationships through blogging that go deeper than a mutual love for cosmetics. In the future, I want to talk about things like religion, music, books, college, decorating, organization, and, as always, beauty. I want to shift my blog from a “beauty” focus to a “lifestyle + beauty” focus. I don’t want anyone to feel like I’ve “pulled the rug out from under them-” I simply want to offer more to this blog and create something more well-rounded, inspiring, and creative.

To my super sweet followers, I want to say thank you so much for starting this journey with me, and I hope you’ll enjoy the new format! Let me know what you think!
